My Story:

I have been with Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care for almost a year now. Arrived with the hope of being part of the resident group here – doing my bit for rabbit welfare by joining the rabbit team to demonstrate rabbit care needs at educational talks and awareness events. I am full of fun, and love human attention. I always want to be right in the middle of all the action. My CV was glowing, and I should have been a perfect fit to the team. But, things haven’t quite gone to plan. Unfortunately, I have suffered a few set-backs. Shortly after my prep & training (neutering and bonding process) I developed a serious skin condition which caused significant sores across my back, caused by nervous itching and gnawing on my part! It may have been an allergic reaction to a vaccine, given the timing. This took several months to diagnose and resulted in surgical repair. I am glad to report that it appears to be completely resolved now, and I no longer experience any issues with my fur or skin. However, after several attempts to fit into the larger resident group here, I find that I am just not a good fit for the other personalities and we often end up having a bit of a falling out. I find large groups a little nerve wracking, and the other bunnies here are just so much more confident meaning I am always pushed out of the group. So the kind humans at FBRC have agreed its time for me to find my own buddy. Someone just for me. I am not fussy – any size, any age, any colour. Just somebunny that I can snuggle up to and feel part of a team again. I am a gentle giant and will climb all over you and sniff your ear! I love my food and get so excited when I am being fed that sometimes I just stick my head in the tub of food before any gets into my bowl! My humans at the Warren often laugh at my funny antics. I love my large shed that I can lounge, I will occasionly head out to the garden and display a couple of binkys for the humans, I'm easy going and super nice.

My Story:

Hello i'm Gail I am a gorgeous four year old lion haired lop bun. As you can see from my photo shoot i'm a classy, sophisticated, fun loving gal. I have fab fawn fur, a marvelous lions mane and beautiful brown eyes. I'm hoppily married to my bunny boy Gary - we are inseprabale and like to do eveything together. From early morning hops to afternoon naps you will see us together. A typical day for me begins with some yummy hay & nuggets followed by a hop around with Gary, followed by a well earned nap. Late afternoon i'm usually out on another bunny adventure then it's dinner time. I have a good apetite I love my nuggets, hay, grass & dried herbs. I love veggies- especially herbs - basil, parsley & coriander and I love celery. Ooooh I really love apple slices & strawberries but a clever bun like me knows it's only an occassional treat. Gary is a bit sneaky and tries to steal my snacks - he is a rascal but I love him. I need my human to make sure that I'm getting enough to eat and Gary's not getting too much! I prefer to drink from a water bowl and like to have my water bowl next to me when I'm eating my nuggets- but I also use a bottle. I am an inquisitive bun I love exploring my surroundings and checking out what's going on around me. I often follow my human around the garden and supervise her cleaning! I reward my human by licking her hands, nose and even her hair when she has been well behaved. Playing with my toys is great fun I have tunnels, a play table, wooden hides, cardboard boxes and toys to jump up onto. I also like some safe cosy spots where I can relax and get away from it all. I am a calm, happy, relaxed bun I love a nose and ear rub and i don't mind being handled. I do have an issue with a blocked tear duct in my left eye which has caused an infection in the past. The nice vet tried but she couldn't get it unblocked. So I do get a weepy eye occasionally and my new human will need to monitor this. I don't let this bother me and I live life to full! I have settled well into my foster home. I have a large hutch with a run around pipe attached that means I can get out to play whenever I like - fantastic because you can't beat a 5am hop! I want a spacious, clean and cosy forever home with lots of room to play and loads of toys to keep me and my Gary entertained. I want a kind, understanding human to care for us properly and provide us with snacks, love and attention for the rest of our lives. We are a very affectionate and happy bunny couple that deserve a fresh start. If we are the perfect bunny duo for you get in touch

My Story:

Hi I'm Gary an extremley handsome four year old bunny. I have beautiful jet black fur, superb long ears and a perfect twitchy nose. Lady buns take note I only have eyes for my bunny gal Gail. We are very well matched and have loads of fun together. A typical day for me begins with a hop around the run (when the human is still in bed huh) then I live by my motto eat, nap, play, repeat. I am a foodie - I mean if it's food i'll eat it hee hee I love hay, nuggets, grass, herbs (parsley, mint, basil, coriander), spring greens, broccoli and kale. I can smell a treat from 20 paces no human can hide snacks from me. I can be a bit naughty and steal food from Gail - I need my human to make sure I don't eat too much and Gail too little! I like drinking from a bowl and a bottle. I make the most of my time in the foster house and I enjoy running around in the spacious hutch and runs. I love exploring and I really enjoy sitting up high on my toys watching the world go by. I need lots of space so I can stretch up to my full height. I am a friendly outgoing chap who will take a keen interest in what is going on around me. I love being petted and even like getting my fur brushed! I also don't mind being handled. I would love to find a forever home so Gail and I can settle and be happy in a large hutch with a huge play space filled with toys and treats. We need a responsible human who can commit to taking good care of us for the rest of our lives. We need love and attention from a kind human who will spend time with us - in return you will have the most affectionate, fabulous bunny couple to keep you entertained and amused. He loves to get out and explore, and especially loves to dig and play out on the grass! He is easy to pick up but prefers to be on the ground and he is a little shy about being petted. My Story:

When Smarties came in to the rescue she was very overweight from having a diet filled with lots of yummy treats like full carrots all to herself, which she loved, a very spoiled girl. She had lost her bonded mate and was becoming less active and had stopped binkying so she’s come to us in the hopes of finding that special somebun to spend her days with. She’s been on a bit of a diet to get her to a healthy weight to Spay her and she’s finally coming around to the idea of munching all her hay, although she’s a bit mad about the drop in sugar. Smarties is extremely shy and timid. She would suit an owner with lots of patience to give her to help her feel safe. She can be a bit of a couch potato if given the chance so I’ve found that scatter feeding her is the best way to get her to move around. She’s picking up litter training really quickly and seems to be a very clever girl. Although she’s shy she’s also tentatively inquisitive. The best way to get Smarties attentions is to lie on the floor near her and completely ignore her; either read a book or play on your phone. Soon her nosiness will win and she’ll be right over sniffing at you as long as there are no sudden movements or sounds to scare her off. She has a small, healed scar on her right eyelid where another bunny bit her in a previous home but this has been vet checked and causes her no issues whatsoever. This very special bun deserves a very special home. If you think you could be up to the task of loving this girl and teaching her to trust then please get in touch with us. As mentioned above, patience would be a great quality for Smarties potential new human as you will have to wait until she’s been spayed and has recovered before you can bring her home but she will be so worth it. I know that she will Come into her own and absolutely flourish with a bonded mate and I can’t wait to see pictures of this little sweetheart getting her happy ever after.

My Story:

Cinnamon is a very sweet and gentle boy. He can be a little unsure about humans and has taken a few weeks to learn that we are actually not that bad - in fact he has sussed that we bring him yummy food and he loves that! If he is in his run when he sees you coming at nugget time he will do a couple of circuits of joy around the run before zooming into the shed and coming to a skidding stop at his bowl. He would happily eat nuggets all day so definitely needs to be limited to the correct portion size! Cinnamon loves all food - he has eaten everything offered to him so far, he’s not fussy at all. Although he can be a little shy he forgets his shyness when food is on offer and will happily climb on you to take food from you. He will accept strokes and head rubs from people he has learned to trust, as long as you approach him slowly as sudden movements do sometimes startle him. Cinnamon would love a bunny companion to eat, snuggle and binky with - could you offer him his happy ever after?

My Story:

Hi! I’m Susan. I love to run and binky and play games. My foster mum says I am super smart as I manage to work out all my brain games in no time.
When she brings us food, I like to watch her fill the cup, race up my ramp and wait to see what’s for breakfast. Rabbit always wants a nose rub - I like a quick one but what I really like is to get the food cup of FM and shake, shake shake it! Gotta make sure its empty right?!

I’m also a keen chewer. I love hay, forage and most recently large tree branches. They keep us busy while we lounge in the sun. I love it when we get free roam of the garden so I can race about and hide from FM as I blend in well with the folage ;) Rabbit and I are always together. I was really worried about him when his face got sore, and he got poked and prodded and all these people looking at him and making him go to sleep. It was scary for us both, and we are both wary of people now until we are sure they won’t do that to us. I’d really hate for him to go in for anymore operations, as his pain is managed by our amazing Aunty at the vets; but most importantly we want to spend all the rest of our time together being happy and enjoying life even if it does mean less time. It’s the quality that counts! Thanks for reading about us :)

My Story:

Hi, I’m Rabbit Downey Jnr, but Rabbit is fine :) I’m currently married to the most gorgeous girl Susan; she keeps me young! As you may notice, I’ve got a super cheeky smirk. The vet called it a sneer! Terrible, they clearly don’t know me very well as I am a very happy gentlebun. Anyway, I’ve got this permanent smirk because I’ve got issues with my inner ear and have had some pretty bad infections. I’ve had my handsome face assed by the specialists and we’ve all decided I’m going to keep my smirk as I don’t fancy getting such a big operation in my golden years. Imagine recovering from that, it would be worse than a dandelion hangover after Hogmany! So, I take my meds everyday - gotta watch that Susan doesn’t try and nab it though - and I’m right as rain. I would appreciate my future family to honor this too, as I want to spend my every moment with Susan. Susan & I both love lots of space; we love to binky and chew lots. We also love foraging games; we are both very busy bunnies and need to be kept stimulated and busy. As soon as we hear foster mum in the garden we run to the run, then fly up our ramp and wait on her in our house to see what goodies she brought us. I always like to give her a wee nudge so she rubs me and Susans noses. It’s the best way to start the morning! We both love some affection, but don’t like being lifted up. We prefer some grooming and brushing compared to lifting. Do you think you could give us the perfect wee retirement home? If so, please get in touch!

My Story:

Maize is a great wee bun. He’s full of fun and loves nothing more than a run about so he can investigate and have a binky. He likes to have things to chew at, and has been enjoying chewing through boredom breakers made from toilet roll tubes, especially if there’s something tasty waiting inside. He’s quite a confident wee bun so he doesn’t mind being handled, and will jump up onto you to say hello, right up to your face if he has a good purchase. After he had crawled up me, he was sitting on my shoulder last night. He can be a bit grumpy if you try to give him noserubs and might grunt at you, he just prefers you stroking him back from his face, which he is happy with. After all the excitement, he goes to his favourite corner for a wee dig and a flop. He is well litter-trained and is quite a tidy boy. I've been giving him meadow and timothy hay to eat and Megazorb as litter. He is currently transitioning from Pets at Home nuggets to Burgess Excell with Mint. He gets these two times a day. I give him a couple of greens in the morning with his nuggets and he gets a bowl of greens and nuggets in the evening. I usually go and give him a treat when I get in from work. He really enjoys a fenugreek crunchie. He's not a big eater, he eats some hay, especially if there’s readigrass mixed in, but he has eaten pretty much all vegetables/fruit I've given him; mainly kale, cabbage, broccoli, cucumber, peppers, spinach, little gem lettuce, parsley, basil, coriander and mint. He’s used to drinking water from a bowl but he doesn't drink an awful lot of water. Maize is a lovely chap and would make a great addition to a household, so if you have a lovely lady bun looking for a handsome friend, I'm sure you'll have a great time getting to know him.

This handsome boy’s name is Terry. He has a lovely glossy black coat with small white marking on his face and paws .He is an independent and curious bunny that loves exploring. Terry loves to have lots of space to roam around. He especially loves running through his two tunnels and exploring on top of boxes and other objects. He has no preference as to whether he lives indoors or outdoors , However, he enjoys being part of family life and likes to always be able to see what is going on. You can often spot him perched on top of his litter box for a better view. Terry loves his food! At times he can have a tendency to be a little greedy and would benefit from having his food portion controlled. Terry likes to drink out of both a bowl and water bottle. He loves trying new vegetables and herbs and is willing to eat out of your hand, watercress is his favourite. He is a very friendly rabbit and enjoys human interaction, he regularly seeks out snuggles and will allow you to pick him up for short periods of time. He will also allow you to brush him while he is sitting on the ground. Terry can be a little timid at times and is not keen on load noises, however, with a little bit of love and attention to gain his trust he would make a great addition to any family.

Timmy is a bundle of fun, who's super inquisitive and who loves to run! He's happiest when he's dashing about, and enjoys playing with his brothers. Timmy is brothers with Tommy and Squirrel, and he can be adopted as a single to bond with another rabbit, or together with either/both of his siblings for a pair/trio.

My Story:

Bruray is a beautiful boy who just adores attention and head rubs. He melts as soon as you start petting him! He loves to chew and needs lots of toys to keep him entertained - cardboard tubes stuffed with hay and pellets are his favourite. But he really needs a bunny friend to play and snuggle with, and an indoor home where he can get lots of love and attention. Bruray is settling in to his indoor foster area.Loves his food and is using his litter tray well.He is slowly becoming more confident with his new foster.

My Story:

Moscow is rather shy and really doesn’t enjoy being cuddled or held but with patience he learns to trust and he will permit a nose rub in exchange for a nice treat. His stunning looks don’t come easy and he needs regular brushing to avoid any nasty matting that can develop quickly. Moscow comes running when he knows it’s breakfast and dinner time and enjoys Burgess nuggets in the morning and a mix of veg and herbs in the evenings, he’s a little fussy with hay and prefers one with apple and carrot through it. He’s a tidy boy and uses his litter tray very well. He lives outdoors and loves to binky around the secure garden, but could live indoors if you are the perfect match. This special boy has had a tough time meeting potential new buddies and so would be suitable to be housed as a bachelor. Moscow's new parents would need to have lots of time to spend with him to build his confidence and trust. If you have a big heart, plenty of patience and lots of space this boy could thrive in, then Moscow is the one for you.

My Story:

Winston lives outdoors in a large kennel shed and loves nothing more than to explore, play and tuck into some good food. He's learning that's it's ok to be picked up and is clean and tidy in the hutch. He loves to have toys to play with like cardboard tubes, tunnels, small chairs and stools and will redecorate his shed to the way he likes it. Winston is inquisitive and sociable, he loves to be outside his hutch or anywhere where you are, he has the run of the garden and will find a nook to sun bathe, then he'll run around, come up for a pet and then run away again. Hes had previous small interactions with cats and dogs. Children of all ages have fed him by hand, while being stroked. He would do well in a home with access to garden and home to continue human contact.

Nokia arrived at the charity around a month ago and is a gorgeous, long haired black bunny. She likes being petted, but is a little nervous at the moment of being picked up. Although she has access to the garden run via a tunnel she seems to be happiest sitting inside the hutch, rather than running around so is mostly quite a peaceful bunny. She enjoys eating Pets at home own brand of pellets and likes a range of greens including kale, spinach, herbs and cauliflower leaves. She occasionally makes her presence known by thumping, but is going in to be spayed on May 14th. She would make an excellent companion for a male bunny, and would be a lovely pet

They are almost identical but Frugi has some darker patches on her back and is more confident than her sister. They are a little bit shy of people at the moment but they are getting braver each day. They love playing outside and their perfect home would be an outdoor home where they have lots of space to run around because although they might be small they have lots of energy and love to sprint and bounce around the garden and are so entertaining to watch. They eat burgess excell nuggets and can be a bit fussy with hay but are starting to eat more each day. They love greens like kale, broccoli and spinach and enjoy a small piece of carrot or slice of banana as a treat. They like playing with toys such as tunnels, card board boxes and tubes and willow balls. If you think you can give this pair the perfect home please get in touch.

My Story:

I am new to the rescue and have been settling into my foster home. I am very friendly and curious, sticking my nose in everywhere. I'm a very hungry boy and l Iove herbs, greens, broccoli, beetroot, salad leaves and especially my blueberry or dried apple treat each day. Fresh grass is yummy too. I enjoy company and love getting my nose and cheek rubs for as long as you can keep going. If you sit on the floor with me I will climb on you looking for more nose rubs. I may also run around you while pooping but maybe this will stop when I get neutered. I am quite a messy boy in the bathroom and a high sided litter tray is best to control this, as I like to stick my backend up and right in the corner. I would love to find my forever home and have some-bunny to spend all day with.

Birch is a happy bunny who loves to explore, both indoors and outdoors. He is comfortable on wooden floors and well litter-trained, so makes an ideal indoor rabbit. He is not a cuddly bunny (this will likely change after his neuter), but a way to buy his affection for some strokes is to bait him with food! Birch's favourite foods are kale and broccoli, and he is good at eating plenty of hay. One of Birch's ears has a dent in it from a previous failed bond, and the one thing he is missing in his life is a companion - he'd make a very good husbun to a lucky lady!

I love attention from my foster carers and I've got a super silky patch of fur at the base of my neck, which my foster family love to sit and stroke. I'm the best at cuddles! I know just how attractive I am too- I love to pose for photos! I'm also a really good boy, I love to eat my greens and munch on hay- I'm not picky. I like my nuggets too, but I eat them slowly over the course of the day- I'm not a greedy guts. Despite my age (it's just a number anyway) I love to hop about in the garden, and the vet has given me a clean bill of health. I'd like a forever family that can give me lots of attention, and spoil me like I deserve!

My Story:

Hiya...I’m Aspen. Even though I’m not even 3 years old, my foster parents say I have the manners of a gentleman. As a result, I was given free roam of their whole living room...not just my pen...within 2 hours of arriving. Don’t get me wrong. I’m really curious and I love to explore. They say I’m a very inquisitive and friendly chap. I don’t know what that means, but every time they climb over the baby gate and leave the room, I hop up onto the back of the sofa. That’s where I can best keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t get into mischief. As soon as they come back into the room, I hop over and they immediately sit on the floor and give me nose rubs, which I love. Their training is going well, so I reward them by following them around and insisting on more nose rubs. I should mention that I absolutely love being close to people. I’m not really into sitting on laps, though...but have I mentioned I love nose rubs!? And having my ears stroked. I do let my foster parents pick me up and handle me and I don’t make a fuss, but it does make me tremble a bit, so we’re working on this. I think I’ve impressed them with how well litter trained I am and my foster mum said she was surprised that I’m even tidy with my hay. Speaking of which, I love to eat: hay, leafy greens, herbs and cardboard. Okay, so I know cardboard isn’t really food, but I do love to destroy cardboard...it’s such good fun! As much as I’m enjoying it here, I can’t wait to find my forever home.

He has his timid moments, but is very quick to trust considering his very short stay in foster care. Abrupt, excited noises such as children can sometimes startle him, but he is very gentle and will lap up the attention from calm individuals. My Story:

Cedar has been with me a short time but is already starting to be comfortable around me, he sat and had a clean beside me. He's a little shy to start with but is soon inquisitive. His fur is slightly patchy where he has been bullied at his previous home but it's all starting to grow back in nicely. He's a lovely wee rabbit with plenty character which I will update on as we get to know each other better.
