My Story:

Right, I’m going to try and put this as delicately as possible. Duncan went on a lads holiday to Ibiza and came back with the worst kind of souvenir. That’s right, Duncan has bunny Syphilis. Fortunately this isn’t transferable to humans but it does mean that he’ll have to live as an eternal bachelor in his forever home. Attempts to cure Duncan’s rabbit syphilis have been unsuccessful but he’s not bothered by it all and is in no pain or discomfort. He just has a wee pink nose and doesn’t like people touching his particulars.

Now that Duncan’s partying days are behind him he loves living the quiet life filled with human cuddles and getting showered with love and attention. He was a very shy and timid boy when he first arrived at the charity and would hide under the bed in fear if he saw anybody coming but now his wee face just lights up as soon as he sees you and bounds over to great you and asks for a cuddle and a nose rub.

Duncan is a very curious wee bunny and always likes to supervise any activity that you’re doing, especially if it’s tidying up his living space which he finds incredibly exciting for some reason. He loves exploring and having a wonder and a binky around your home and will hop around your feet to get your attention. Duncan is a very chilled out and lazy bunny and looks like the bunny version of an old English sheepdog but with extremely fluffy feet!! He loves having his fuzzy fluff stroked for hours but he’s not too keen on getting brushed unless you’re very very gentle and combine it lots of cuddles and treats. Duncan loves being in your company and likes to lie down next to you on the sofa and have a good long snooze. Sleeping is by far his favourite hobby and he is an incredibly deep sleeper, so much so that he can sleep through almost anything!

Due to the fact that Duncan needs to be kept as a single bunny he will need a home where his human companion will have lots of time to give him the affection, play and interaction which would normally be filled by a bunny companion. He gets very attached to his human friends and his spirits start to get down if he’s left on his own for too long so somebody who spends a lot of time at home would be perfect for him. As Duncan can still get easily frightened a home with other animals who are quite boisterous would not be suitable for him.

My Story:

Skye is an active girl who loves to explore multiple levels of her hutch and run. She is a confident rabbit that is the first to stick her head out the hutch door to find out what you’re bringing for breakfast! Skye loves toys and makes quick work of gnaw toys and forage bags. Skye lives with her daughter, Isla, and is always trying to lead her astray by sneaking out the hutch when her foster mum is topping up the water or climbing out the run before the roof is closed over. Skye is a really playful girl so will need an outdoor environment where there are activities for her to put her mind to. Once she’s had a run around Skye loves to snuggle up with her daughter and they make sure they keep each other looking great with a grooming session. Skye is used to noisy dogs passing her hutch and run and is unphased by them. She’s easy to handle and will even take a treat when up in your arms.

My Story:

Isla is a young rabbit that has grown in confidence in her foster home. She loves to get stuck into a task like shredding her forage bag or throwing a box around to get to the treats inside. Living with her Mum, Skye, she is the more reserved of the two but loves to get out in her run, especially running through tunnels and discovering what food awaits her in the hanging basket. Isla has two distinct features on top of her beautiful grey, soft fur – she has a slight head tilt and one of her eyes has a marble effect. These are just after effects of an infection she had when she arrived with the rescue but she’s now 100% healthy and not affected in anyway by these, it’s just a part of who she is. Isla is used to noisy dogs in the garden but does prefer to wait in her house until the coast is clear. In the run her fosterer often sees her watch the dogs as they run by without going to hide so she’s not worried by them. When a cat passes by she has been known to give a foot stamp but is used to seeing many neighbourhood cats walk along the fence, so as long as she is safe and secure, with areas to retreat to if she wants she will be absolutely fine. Isla and her Mum and very close and make sure they are always looking their best by having regular grooming sessions. Her Mum is always embarrassing her by trying to climb out her run when her fosterer isn’t looking but Isla isn’t led astray. She has perfect manners and waits to be put back in her hutch rather than escaping around the garden! Skye loves all her veg and nuggets and can be easily handled.

My Story:

Chestnut has a personality you can easily fall in love with! He’s inquisitive, playful and has the cutest face. He loves it when you go in his run and will run around you, climb on you and check out what’s in your pockets. He lives with Maple and is a doting husband. He has a lovely nature, can be easily handled and sits for a long time in your arms. Before coming into the rescue Chestnut had his two front teeth removed. Because of this, he needs to have his veggies cut very small (finger nail size) and needs to have his meals separate from Maple as he takes a lot longer to pick up his nuggets. He loves this time though and has been coming into the kitchen where he tucks eagerly into his meals before exploring his surroundings and then topping up some more on veggies! He has regular weigh ins to monitor progress and he’s quite happy to sit in the bowl of the kitchen scales while he gets weighed! His coat is super soft but does have a habit of getting knotted around the bum so a brush every now and again will be needed. He sits so well on your knee to get brushed so it’s not a problem. He is confident around cats and dogs and is happy to eat while they are in the kitchen with him. Although he's currently not around children regularly, Chestnut was happy to be stroked by a visiting toddler in his hutch and his foster mum thinks he would be happy around children given his confident and placid nature. He’s doesn’t let the fact he has no front teeth stop him living a full and happy life! In fact, he's the first one to open the forage bags and dive into any treats.

Maple has the softest ginger coat and is easy to handle. She’s so inquisitive and will throw the hutch door open to check out what you’re doing and get a look at the goodies coming her way. If you join her in the run she’ll follow you around and get under your feet. Although she makes quick work of forage bags and other boredom breakers she’s actually quite a chilled out bunny, who enjoys snuggling up with her partner, Chestnut, for afternoon naps. Maple is confident around noisy dogs who pass her run and regularly sees passing cats without being distressed. Maple’s coat can get a little knotted around her bum if left to its own devices so a brush every now and again will be needed. She tolerates this in her usual laid back way and has never been known to foot stamp or bite. Maple is an outdoor bunny and wouldn't be comfortable indoors.

My Story:

Wayyyheyyy! I'm Denver :-D And I like have FUNNN! I'm an adventurous fella and I LOVE to run around the garden and binky, binky, binky!!! Don't dare say that I should "take it easy at my age"!!! Age is only a number and I'm proof of that :-D I'm often compared to George Clooney: big, dark and very handsome...with the odd grey hair - distinguished! I'm very inquisitive and I'm ready to try anything new. Dallas is my girl and she's quite cautious compared to me so I look after her - she's a beautiful girl and even though I dash about full pelt, I'll keep returning to check that my girl is okay. After a hectic day playing in the garden, we love to stretch out together and chill. We groom each other and the world's a happy place...but I'll also need some careful groomin from my hooman every week to keep my filmstar locks in tip-top condition - just like George. We'd like to be part of a fun-loving family who will have time to let us run about and give us space as we're both big-boned! :-D:-D:-D We love our hay and occasional veggie treats and we have no hang-ups. If it's a double storey pad, we'd like a toilet on both floors - thank you! And toys...loads of toys...tunnels and little hidey-houses. We will give you hours of entertainment - especially me - and love, kisses and nose rubs. Are you ready for the ride??? :-D:-D:-D

Hi I'm Dallas and I live with my very attentive husbun, Denver. I am quite a shy girl so would love a home where there isn't a lot of hustle and bustle. I will take some time to come out of my shell in my new home. I am also a lady of larger proportions so an extra large hutch and run are really essential. I like to hide in a tunnel or box inside my hutch. I enjoy having a leisurely stroll around the garden and lying in the sun.

Entry Reason: RABBIT BEHAVIOURS: AGGRESSION

My Story:

My name is Savannah, named after the city in the US state of Georgia, and I am around 18 months old. I entered the rescue here at FBRC in January this year. I am a Continental Giant Rabbit, which means I am one of the largest breeds of rabbit you’ll meet. Even David, the giant enthusiast at Fairly Beloved, was surprised by my size, but I stand by Mika as a proud example that this Big Girl truly is beautiful. In my previous home I wasn’t as happy as I might have been. I had a good amount of space to call my own, but that was part of the problem: I was on my own. My owners wanted to love me, they really did, but they were scared by my size and I was scared by the things they wanted to do with me. I’m not a cuddly bunny you see, and in a home with young children I was just really uncomfortable. I was always on edge, not quite sure why they would approach me so fast, and they always wanted to handle me and stroke me. They started to back off a little, and to this day I don’t know whether that was better for me or not. I’ve never really had a chance to gain confidence around you humans you see. The volunteers here seem nice though, and they are trying. I’ve grown a little jumpy, and protective of my space. But slowly I am starting to realise that not everyone is out to get me. In recent weeks, I’ve even started letting the volunteers stroke my nose and back, and will take food from them comfortably. If we’re in a neutral space, I respond better to human interaction, but my space is my space! It would be nice to have some company though. A bunny friend. Obviously, all on my terms, I ain’t going to let no-bun tell me how to do things. And when it comes to bonding, I don’t plan to make it easy on my new companion. But I do get lonely. And I do yearn for company. And who knows, once I settle down with the right bunny, maybe that wild youthful side of me will take a break. One of the volunteers here mentioned some sort of “arranged bonding” thing they do where they help make sure bunny’s bond safely, so I may give that a go. I am a real foody. I will eat just about anything to be honest, so do not spare anytime getting that food to me. And I am just so desperate to get the food in my mouth, I may accidentally nibble a little finger in the process! I don’t mean to, but seriously why does it take you so long to give me that treat? The most important thing I am looking for in a new home is LOADS of space! I am a big girl, and energetic and I need space to spread my long body in. So don’t be showing me no hutches or cupboards. I want a shed or summer house or garage I can call my own. I might consider somewhere indoors, but I do love my fresh air and think somewhere outdoors may suit me best. And I want to own a human that understands where I am coming from. If you have never had a rabbit before, or are used to cuddly little mini-lops then I am probably not your girl. But if you want to roar with laughter at my antics and shenanigans, and are willing to put up with a bit of sass, then get that adoption form in prompto! I am ready to show you how a real rabbit struts around her pad.

He loves his food and he is first to jump into his area when it has been cleaned out to start eating his pellets. He likes to eat his parsley before it is even on the plate! Sarge really enjoys being out in the garden, he likes to binky on the grass but they're not a touch on Charlotte's binkies! He is an explorer inside and outside and loves to get himself into mischief - anywhere that he can go he will go! My Story:

Charlotte has been bonded with Sarge since January 2016, and recently re-entered the rescue following a change in their owner's circumstances. She is not a fussy eater and loves dried mango and lettuce as her favourite. Also eats a range of other herbs, veg and fruit quite comfortably and tends to eat just what she needs rather than scoffing everything in sight. She will try to steal treats from Sarge's mouth though if he manages to get to the treats first! Charlotte loves to be outside during the day and loves to binky and explore everywhere, before giving you a run around when you try and catch her! She doesn't like hard floor surfaces or laminate floor, as she finds them hard to hop on and usually sleeps all day and then becomes a bit more active around evening time. She loves nose rubs but on her terms; e.g. if she is on the ground and she is positioned against the wall she will let you pet her for ages and will give you shower you with kisses while you give her nose rubs! Charlotte is much more timid than her brave husbun Sarge and tends to follow his lead on any adventures, however she is definitely the one in charge. She is extremely protective over Sarge and they absolutely love each other. They are always together and it is lovely watching their relationship.

My Story:

Sam is a sweet wee guy with a gentle soul, he's still very young so he takes his time getting to know people but once you've earned his trust he loves to have his nose rubbed. Sam is an outdoor bunny but is in the routine of having time indoors every day. He loves exploring & squeezing himself into nooks & crannies, so any potential home would need to be well rabbit proofed to prevent him from hurting himself. He enjoys being in the company of the foster home's resident steady dog.

My Story:

I’m Edward, a very sweet but rather shy boy. My sister Vivian watches over me most of the time – in fact, we’re pretty much inseparable, but you’ll get lots of entertainment watching us together. It might take me a few weeks to get the confidence to leave the safety of my main living area, but once Vivian (she’s the brave one) has done the research, I’ll venture out and be just as lively and inquisitive as her. I love my hay and nuggets, and (in small doses) healthy things like kale and coriander. If you spend time hanging out with me on the floor, getting to know me, you’ll gain my trust, and I’ll let you stroke me behind the ears, where I have a lovely fluffy, soft mane.

My Story:

I’m Vivian – a beauty (though I say so myself) with a shiny black coat. I’m devoted to my brother Edward, and I’ll watch over him and occasionally get a wee bit jealous if you stroke him too long. I’m the braver of the pair: while Edward isn’t confident to leave his main living space, I’ll venture out and explore my new home, and then a few weeks later I’ll show Edward around. You’ll see that I’m quite an inquisitive explorer, and I like to hop round indoors in the mornings and evenings, marking everything with my chin. I’m well-behaved and litter-trained, I love munching on hay and nuggets when not exploring, and I love kale and fresh herbs too. Sometimes I even let my brother share my treats! If you spend time getting to know me, I’ll let you stroke me a bit – not too much, though – and I might reward you with the rhythmic tooth-clicking known as ‘rabbit purring’.

He likes human interaction and will accept nose rubs, he especially likes to climb all over you if you lie on the floor! Jem is bonded with his brother, Francis, and they’re very sweet together. Jem’s a calming influence on Francis, who can be unsure of things to start with. They both like their food, there’s very little they’ll say no to! Francis really like his treats, and enjoys boredom breakers that feature food! While Jem is energetic, Francis likes puzzles and figuring out how things work. My Story:

Horatio is a fluffy ball of mischief, there is never a dull moment with this wee fella around. FUN FUN FUN is the name of the game and he likes to live life in the fast lane. He absolutely loves to run around the garden and investigate every nook and crannie and when he's not doing this he loves nothing more than a good old dig and this may involve digging up your plants and having a good much whilst he's there. Preferring to spend time in the run rather than hutch, Horatio is not too keen on being picked up (show me a rabbit who is). In his run he binkies away and enjoys relaxing In his tunnel. He will have you chasing him around until you manage to catch him..but hey we all need a little more exercise! Ideally a new home would have a run attached to a hutch/shed so he can come and go as he pleases. Horatio is very clean in his hutch and uses the litter tray. He does love to spend time with his human slaves being stroked and having nose rubs until he finds something more interesting to do! Horatio has great taste and loves his greens and has the occassional carrot treat. He enjoys nuggets from a treat ball and only the best timothy hay is good enough! This cheeky guy is absolutely adorable, happy, inquisitive and loads of fun and only the very best forever home will do.

My name is Prospero and I can’t wait to meet you!! I can be a little shy at first but once I get to know you I will show you my wild side. Although I am a bit of an older bun I still have lots of energy and I love to run and binky about in the garden and enjoy showing off my amazing moves to my human and foster rabbit friends. I really love getting my nose rubbed and would love love LOVE a bunny friend or two to keep me company. My favourite foods are kale and broccoli and my nuggets, although I can't have too much as my cheeky foster human says i'm a bit on the round side. I recently had a vet visit prior to coming in to the rescue where I needed to have my lower incisors burred and my tear ducts flushed. As I continue to enjoy my elder years, I may require to have this done again as my teeth are slightly misaligned on the right hand side.

Pipkin is a beautiful white bunny with a grey nose, ears and tail and red eyes. He is still a little timid and will initially back off if you reach your hand towards him but is starting to gain confidence and will allow you to stroke him for a few seconds before he hops off to keep an eye on you from a safe distance! He is inquisitive and will come over to have a sniff of you when you sit with him. Give him a jingly ball and he will pick it up in his mouth and throw it around. His favourite pastime is relaxing in the run with his buddy Dandelion, they spend most of the daytime snoozing and chilling out together. He is quite fond of his tunnels and has been known to hop into a tunnel in an attempt to avoid a vet visit! He is a gentle bunny and hasn't shown any aggression or territorial behaviour at all since he arrived at his foster home.

My Story:

Dandelion is a gorgeous black and white Dutch bunny. He has a funky thin stripe of white hair between his ears, making it look like he has a mini bunny mohican. He likes the quiet life and can usually be found relaxing in the run with his buddy Pipkin through the day - he is a master of the bunny flop! He prefers to let Pipkin take the lead with investigating new areas, following on behind once Pipkin has given it the paws up. Although he can be a little wary of humans, he's not shy when food is on offer. He loves all the usual bunny favourites like coriander, spring greens, kale and of course dandelions as well as the main component in a bunny's diet, hay. Both Dandelion and Pipkin are litter trained. They keep their home clean and have not been at all destructive. This pair would enjoy a quieter environment as they can be startled by sudden noise or movement - they are both lovely gentle rabbits who would be great pets once they have settled in to their new home.

Hello i'm Nyreem a gorgeous 18 month old fun loving bun. As you can see from my photo shoot I am tiny and fabulous. I have magnificent little ears, big brown eyes, soft white and grey fur and some of the dantiest fluffy feet you will ever see. I may be small in size but I have a big personality I am an inqusistive girl. I am super fast on my feet, love running about, playing with my toys. I enjoy tunnels, cardboard boxes, wooden chews and foraging for treats. I am doing really well in my foster home. I have a large warm hutch where I enjoy relaxing and taking a nap. I have runaround pipes so I can get out to play in my runs whenever I want. I have a great appetite I love my nuggets, hay & dried herbs. Kale, Coriander & Parsley are so yummy! Ooooh I really love banana and apple slices but a fitness fanatic like me knows it's only an occassional treat. I am a lovely bun but I can be a little nervous around new people and in new surroundings. I also don't like loud noises and I can be a little territorial in my hutch. I would be best suited to an experienced rabbit owner who does not have other pets or young children. However once I settle in and get to know a human you will see the lovely charming and happy little girl that I am. I don't mind the occassional nose rub or being picked up but..don't try to grab me...be patient get to know me first I WLTM a handsome, fun loving, happy boy bun to share nuggets and banana slices, enjoy early morning hops and snuggles in some fresh hay. If romance isn't on the cards then a bunny best friend to share adventure and playtime with would be great too! I want a kind caring human to look after me properly. I want a spacious clean forever home with lots of room to play and loads of toys to keep me entertained and yummy snacks to enjoy. Once I get to know my forever human they will see the teriffic, tiny and loving bunny that I am.

I am probably the more cautious one of the two of us, getting my sister to try out the food first but I love getting stuck in once Strawberry has assured me that everything’s ok. However, I am usually the first one out of our pen when it is playtime and do a lot more binkying than Strawberry. Then I’m the first to chill out as well by stretching my full length out on the carpet. I’ve not been so keen on the dog and the cat but given time I’m sure I will be.

Unlike the character Mr Darcy, he is more reserved and takes his time getting to know you. It'll take a special bunnywife to temp this one. His beautiful markings and soft fur are very alluring and will make a fantastic husbun for a very lucky lady! As he likes to keep in tip top shape Mr Darcy does enjoy a daily intake of quality greens to complement his pellet and hay diet. Is there a lovely Elizabeth out there looking for her perfect match? My Story:

I am new to the rescue and our volunteers are still trying to get to know me. I was found as a stray bunny in the Kilwinning area. I am very sociable and love to get cuddles. I get so happy when humans come to see and talk to me. I have a teddy in my hutch which I am crazy about which makes me feel secure. I am really friendly and would love for me and teddy to find our forever home, please give me a chance to show how good a boy I am, love Cinnabun xxxx

My Story:

Hello there my name is Dustin Hoppman. I have lots of energy and love playing outside in the garden. My foster humans have a nice big space in their garden for me to run around and I show them how much I love the space by doing my biggest binkies and running super super fast. They seem to be quite impressed. I like to greet my foster people when they come out to see me in my hutch but I can get a little shy and hide when they want to take me out….but when I realise it is play time I don’t mind so much. My favourite thing to eat is my burgess nuggets and I like eating apple treats and barley rings out of my foster mums hands too. I would really love a bunny friend or two to keep me company and to show off my excellent running and jumping skills. I can't wait to meet you!!

My Story:

Hay-Z is a medium sized rabbit and mostly white with golden brown ears and patches over his head and body. He has lived as an indoor house rabbit with his previous owner but he also loves going outside. He is a very special bunny because he does not have any front teeth, but copes very well without them. He does not like being touched under his chin which is understandable. However, we must keep check of his teeth as he can get tiny peg teeth growing where the original teeth have been removed. He will grudgingly (lol) allow us to look at them or clean any bits off that may be stuck. If the pig tooth grows too long then a vet may burr it down for him. Sometimes the peg teeth do just fall out as well as he does try to chew at the cardboard boxes like the girls do. Hay-Z can eat hay and small sized pellets on his own. He can also eat veggies like coriander and kale. He can also eat things like cucumber with the skin removed and cut into small pellet sized pieces. He can and will eat most veggies and fruit as long as they are cut into small pellet sized pieces. He knows that the small pieces are for him and will look to see where they are.

Health Conditions:
Hay-Z has had his front teeth removed, but still has occasional regrowth of the rear incisors (peg teeth) that need regular removal)

My Story:

Hayonce is a medium sized rabbit. White with black ears and around eyes and a black moustache. She also has black patches over her head and body. Hayonce has the closest bond with Hay-Z. They are very similar in personalities. Both are confident rabbits. She also shares his love of going outside. She is a very kind rabbit and loves nothing more than to clean and mother everyone. Hayonce has unfortunately developed a condition called “sludgey bladder” which means she needs to get as much exercise as possible and her weight needs to be kept to the lower end for a rabbit. She needs a good amount of water so she gets veg that is high in water to help with that as well. With this diet control in place she copes very well and there are no ongoing issues and she is very easy to care for.
