Female Shepherd/Labrador Retriever Dog age: 3 years 7 months Adoption Fee:$ 100.00
TRACS took in a number of wonderful dogs from a crowded shelter in Texas last June and Myra was one of them. She was adopted and just brought back as she loved her owners and was developing her protective nature over them and was unsure of others who came to approach them. She loves people and does great with everyone here at TRACS. She has shown no protectiveness here. We aren't sure now what really was happening at her home. She needs a new person(s) who will appreciate her desire to keep them safe from harm. She does like to lick fingers and faces. She is a great dog who now needs a special person to come and take her home so she can bond again. she is spayed and up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped. Adoption fee is $100 on this devoted girl!
Male Labrador Retriever/Shepherd Dog age: 9 months Adoption Fee:$ 250.00
We really tried to get a better picture, but Red is so lively and fun loving, he does not slow down unless he has a chewey in his mouth! He is an 8 month old red lab mix possibly mixed with shepherd or with ridgeback? WE are not sure. He is about 50 to 60 pounds we think and he will be getting neutered on the 16th and available to a great home on the 17th. He would really like a large yard to run in and someone who is really willing to spend some time playing and training him. He is treat motivated and appears to be a smart guy for sure. He will be neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated and he is adoptable for $250.
Male Australian Shepherd Dog age: 1 year 6 months Adoption Fee:$ 200.00
This very friendly boy is an Australian shepherd mix boy who was an owner turn in due to his chasing of cats and chasing of cars in a dangerous area. So for his own health, he is looking for a home with a fenced in back yard not near a highway! And no cats please as he will be way too focused on them. He is great with kids and other dogs though and has been an indoor and outdoor boy all his short life of 1.5 years. He is around 45 pounds or so and is altered and vaccinated and ready to go to a great new home with a fenced area to run in. He will be sent with a microchip and he will be fully vaccinated at that time as well. His adoption fee will be $200.
Female Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog Dog age: 15 weeks Adoption Fee:$ 300.00
Diandra and her sister came to us as stray dogs and we know them to be from the same litter. We believe they have Australian Shepherd in them and maybe some german shepherd too. But they have small ears that fold down, so not too sure what breed this reflects. They are both about 18 pounds or so and will likely be medium sized girls when grown. Both are very friendly and loving and love attention. They are about 3 - 4 months we think and will be spayed on the 20th and available for adoption on the 21st. They will be altered, microchipped and fully vaccinated at that time and they can be adopted for $300.
Male Australian Shepherd/Bernese Mountain Dog Dog age: 7 weeks Adoption Fee:$ 350.00
This little guy has interesting eyes! His left eye is perfectly normal but his right eye is a "lazy" eye according to our veterinarian. It has good sight but tends to look off a little to the right more than it should. I guess this condition is common in pugs and breeds like that, but not in Aussies. He may in fact grown out of this some as his head grows a bit. But he may always look a little to the right with that eye. The interesting thing is that he is also the sweetest and prettiest of the whole litter. He has more true gold on him. He just wants to be held and hugged all the time. And he yodels to get attention too He is a fluffy, larger breed, black and tan kid who came to us from the reservation and was an owner turn in puppy with his litter. Momma is an Australian shepherd and dad was a large fluffy tan and black dog that we believe has Bernese Mountain dog in him. They are currently about 7 weeks old we think and they can go to their new homes on Friday the 22nd after they receive their second vaccine. They will go out on a foster to adopt basis as they will have to have their neuter surgeries in the future. At that time they will be adopted officially. In the interim, we need to collect a $125 check to hold as a guarantee that the adopter will get that surgery completed. They will come with a certificate of $50 for the surgery, a microchip, and 2 vaccines on board as well as multiple wormers. They are adoptable for $350.
Male Schnauzer/Poodle Dog age: 6 years 8 months Adoption Fee:$ 250.00
Pele has such a sad story, I wish he could tell us about his life. He came to us from a New Mexico rescue group via our friend in Colorado. He was originally in Mexico. He has been heart worm tested and is negative, but he was treated for anaplasma which kept him on an antibiotic for a full month. He is negative now. We think he is around 7 years old, possibly more and possibly less. But he does have an eye condition that is called glaucoma. Our vet believes that the cataract formation in his lenses is a result of this eye pressure problem. He is now on medicine for his glaucoma and she feels that it will help his vision in the future. His left eye seems good in terms of site but his right eye is the worse and he may have diminished vision in it. We believe this was brought on by stress, but it is also a condition that is often seen in cocker spaniels and other breeds. We think he is a schnauzer and poodle mix but may have some cocker in him too. He is about 30 pounds. He would love a cozy bed and a fenced in yard to explore. He can go home on the 21st after he is neutered and chipped and fully vaccinated at that time. His fee is $250 for adoption. Check out his before trimming pictures...so sad...
Female Black Labrador Retriever Dog age: 1 year 8 months Adoption Fee:$ 250.00
Gabby came to us from Dodge City Kansas via our friend in Colorado. she is just a sleek black treasure. Very friendly and exuberant almost 2 year old black lab girl who is about 55 pounds. She would love a fenced in yard to play in and lots of balls and sticks to keep her busy. She is good with other dogs but a bit exuberant for some as she has lots of playful energy. She could use some training from her new owner as to how to meet and greet other dogs with decorum. She will be adoptable after she gets her surgery on Wednesday the 20th of January. she can go home on the 21st if all goes well. she will be spayed and chipped and fully vaccinated at that time. Her fee is $250 for adoption.
Male Boston Terrier/Terrier Dog age: 25 weeks Adoption Fee:$ 300.00
This adorable little boy is what our veterinary staff think is a boston terrier mix. And his face sure looks like it. He has come to us from an owner in Idaho who just could not have him in her apartment as she has lots of dogs already. He is the perfect dog she says, great with children, great with other dogs, and pays no attention to her cat at all. And he has had a couple of accidents but is smart and learning how to tell her he needs to go outside. He is 6 months old and about 25 pounds. so he will get bigger, but not a great deal. He is a little submissive when you meet him but really loves people and wants to please. He is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated and ready to go to a great new home. He is available on the 21st! His adoption fee is $300
